Manager Mauricio Pochettino says he is not worried by Tottenham’s workload as they prepare to face Fiorentina in the last 32 of the Europa League in the first of six games in 17 days.

Spurs’ schedule also includes the return leg against Fiorentina, the League Cup final against Chelsea on 1 March and three Premier League games.

Pochettino said: “It’s a good sign we are in all competitions. I am happy.

“All the squad are fit and we are in a very good way.”

Tottenham’s Europa League tie against the Italian club at White Hart Lane on Thursday night will be their 42nd match of the season.

Pochettino, who has no injury concerns, added: “It’s important to manage the squad and always analyse after the games each case and each player and after to be clever and select the best player to play in each game.”

Like Tottenham – who are sixth in the Premier League – Fiorentina are challenging for a place in next season’s Champions League and are currently fourth in Serie A.

Vincenzo Montella’s squad, which includes on-loan Manchester City defender Micah Richards, is unbeaten in its last eight games and has also reached the last four of the Coppa Italia.
