Britain’s Jamie Murray and Brazilian partner Bruno Soares came through a five-hour epic to reach the last eight of the men’s doubles at Wimbledon.

The third seeds and Australian Open champions beat Mate Pavic and Michael Venus 6-3 7-6 (7-3) 4-6 4-6 16-14.

Murray and Soares won the first two sets and had a break in the fifth but were pegged back and play was suspended on Monday with the score 13-13.

They wrapped up the match on Tuesday in four games.
