Breaking news

Worcestershire have appointed Kevin Sharp as their new head coach.

Sharp, who was second-team batting coach at New Road, replaces Steve Rhodes, who was sacked in December.

Former Worcestershire paceman Alan Richardson has also returned to the county as bowling coach, with Matt Mason taking charge of the second XI.

“I am honoured and privileged that the club think of me in this way in awarding me this position,” Sharp, 58, said.
